MEET THE OWNER & HEAD COACH

Drake Hoffman was born and raised in a baseball home where his father played and coached for several different MLB teams. Coach Drake’s playing days started with the Anaheim Little League, then went onto Canyon High School, and then to Cypress College. He brings 7 years of coaching experience that includes players of all ages and levels. He is currently the assistant coach at Westcliff University and “The Swamp Dogs” college summer ball team. Drake has also coached at Esperanza High School and Whittier Christian.

Lindsey Lopez

Assistant Manager/ Social Media Director
Lindsey is Drake's right hand. She takes care of everything from photography, social media, the website, parent communication, and more. She studied athletic training at OCC and Fullerton College before finding a career in healthcare.
Kolten Frost

Assistant Coach
Kolten comes to us from Kuna, Idaho. He played 2 years of varsity baseball, 1 of which he was Team Captain. He transferred to Westcliff University this year as a pitcher and outfielder. This will be his second season with The Swamp and he looks forward to developing players as well as expanding his experience as a coach.

Our Expectations

Show good sportsmanship on and off the field. This includes no arguing with umpires or opposing teams

Be respectful of your teammates and coaches
Come with your best effort (no walking on field, etc)
Show up as your best self every time (correct uniform, hat forwards, tucked in jersey)
No phones out during practice/games

BAT RULES

BIG BARREL BAT RULES (2 5/8” or 2 3/4”) - 14U & Below

- Have the new permanent USSSA Mark on its taper OR
- Be a qualified BBCOR bat OR
- be a wood bat
- ALL the above must be manufactured by an approved USSSA Bat License

- This applies to ALL big barrel bats, including Coach Pitch bats

Big Barrel Bat Rules (2 5/8” or 2 3/4”) - 15U & Above

- Must be NHSF approved with the appropriate BBCOR certification mark OR
- Be a wood bat
- Both of the above must be manufactured by an approved USSSA Bat License
